DENVER (CBS4) — Cable news network Al Jazeera America says it is shutting down just 2 1/2 years after its launch and weeks after a controversial documentary that tried to link Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning to human growth hormones.
Called “The Dark Side,” the Al-Jazeera documentary raised questions as to whether Manning used the banned substance human growth hormone known as HGH.READ MORE: Denver Public Safety Manager Murphy Robinson Accuses City Councilwoman Candi CdeBaca's Chief Of Staff Of Discriminating Against A White Staff Member

The documentary claims the HGH came from this Indianapolis clinic. A former intern, Charles Sly, claimed the HGH would be delivered to Manning’s wife Ashley. Al-Jazeera recorded the statements on a hidden camera.
But Sly himself has taken back what he said.MORE NEWS: Boulder, Fox And Aggie Theaters Ask For Proof Of COVID Vaccine Or Negative COVID Test
