Man's Body Found Along I-76, Deputies Ask For Help

MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A man's body was found along Interstate 76 between Fort Morgan and Brush early Saturday morning.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery as a homicide.

Deputies are asking for the public's help in identifying the victim as well as what may have happened leading up the discovery of the body. They want to hear from anyone who may have been traveling that stretch of I-76 between 4:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. Saturday and saw anything suspicious, especially a vehicle or vehicles stopped along the interstate.

The victim is light-skinned, possibly Hispanic in his 20s or 30s, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, 160-170 pounds with brown eyes and black hair in a buzz cut. The victim has no visible tattoos except for a small cross on one hand.

An autopsy has been scheduled by the Morgan County Coroner's Office to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information should contact Investigator Jon Holt by calling the sheriff's office at 970.867.2461.
