Police Search For Hit & Run Driver Wanted In Death Of Bicyclist

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Brighton are searching for a driver after a man riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle and later died of his injuries.

Police said Patricio Lamorie was riding his bicycle about 8:07 p.m. on Monday in the southbound lanes of the 600 block of South Kuner Road in Brighton when a vehicle struck him from behind.

Lamorie, 61, was knocked off his bicycle and fell onto the vehicle and then the roadway. The vehicle drove off before police arrived.

Police received several phone calls from passersby who saw Lamorie lying in the roadway. When officers arrived Lamorie was unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital and later died from his injuries.
