PUEBLO, Colo. (CBS4) – A judge in Pueblo has ruled that there is enough evidence to try the man suspected of stabbing his girlfriend to death.
Joseph Romero, 56, turned himself in for the murder of Phenia Martinez, 25, on Jan. 16.
Martinez was reported missing in January after she failed to pick up her kids from school. She was eight months pregnant and her body was found in the couple’s home.
Court documents state the woman’s daughters told police she was fighting with Romero and that he threatened to kill her.
