Hit The Streets To Stop Diabetes With The 'Step Out Walk'
DENVER (CBS4)- Diabetes is nearly an epidemic in America but there is a concerted effort to stop diabetes.
The American Diabetes Association is hosting the Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes. It's a fun event with a serious message.
"The purpose is really to support people who are living with diabetes to bring awareness. In our country we have 26 million people living with diabetes and 86 million living with pre-diabetes," said Step Out Walk committee chair Robyn Harmon.
The Step Out Walk is Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Downtown Denver Aquarium.
