Lakewood Couple Thanks First Responders Who Helped With Home Birth

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A couple in Lakewood wasn't planning on having their baby at home but it seems their little girl just couldn't wait to make her way into the world.

Proud parents Molly and Joseph, along with their brand new baby Tessa, visited the first responders at West Metro Station 7 on Friday. They reunited the fire crew and paramedics who delivered Tessa earlier this month.

"We came to thank you guys for delivering this little girl, it meant a lot to us and the safety of my wife, it's important to me. You guys were professional in my home, making sure she was okay, and we had nothing but a great experience with this fire station," said Joseph.

Molly said the crew made it there just in time. She was in labor for just 12 minutes and there was no time to get to the hospital.
