Fort Collins Man Missing Since Last Week Found Dead In Allenspark
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - The body of a hiker who was last seen last Tuesday has been found.
According to police, Thomas Seth Mereness, 70, was last seen on Tuesday at 9 a.m. in western Fort Collins. He told his family he was going for a hike but didn't give a location.
Deputies found Mereness' car near the St. Vrain Mountain Trail located at 1600 Ski Road in Allenspark on Thursday.
Police in Fort Collins announced on Saturday that Mereness' body had been found.
Boulder County Sgt. Jason Heathman told the Loveland Reporter-Herald that it appears Mereness died from a self-inflicted wound.
No other details have been released.
