CU Denver Plays, Art Show Explore Veterans Issues
DENVER (AP) - The University of Colorado-Denver is staging a monthlong series of plays and an art show exploring the the cost of wars and other veterans issues.
The program, called "Operation Parachute," begins Thursday with "The Things They Carried," about a serviceman drafted for the Vietnam War.
Other plays in the series include "Johnny Got His Gun," ''LZ" and "Pax Americana."
The art show includes work by veterans. It opens Nov. 4.
Operation Parachute is organized by CU Denver's College of Arts & Media.
