Visiting Firefighters In Right Place, Right Time For Woman Bitten By Rattlesnake
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A group of visiting firefighters helped rescue a woman in Colorado Springs.
The woman was hiking in the Pulpit Rock Open Space Saturday when she was bitten by a rattlesnake. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida firefighters heard her screaming and ran to help.
The firefighters applied a tourniquet and carried the woman down the trail to paramedics.
The group was in Colorado Springs for the 2015 Fallen Firefighters Memorial ceremony and visited the park after the event.
