2 Men Accused Of Jury Tampering Plead Not Guilty

DENVER (CBS4)- Two men charged with jury tampering pleaded not guilty in court on Thursday morning.

Police in Denver arrested Eric Brandt and Mark Iancelli for handing out information about jury nullification outside a downtown courthouse last month.

Jury nullification is when a jury finds a defendant not guilty not because he or she doesn't believe the person actually committed the crime but because the jury disagrees with the law.

The men have filed a lawsuit against the City of Denver claiming their arrests are unconstitutional.

The judge agreed that Brandt and Iancelli could be tried together.
