Drivers Get 'Ah Ha' Moments During CDOT's 'Car Fit' Event

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Transportation on Tuesday hosted a Car Fit event to help drivers find out how well they fit their vehicle.

Car Fit is an international program created by AAA and other partners. The goal is to help drivers modify their car to fit their specific needs. That includes adjusting the seat belt, seats, steering wheel and mirrors.

"The most kind of 'ah-ha' moment is when we teach individuals to adjust their mirrors to eliminate all blind spots," said Maile Gray with Drive Smart Colorado.

CDOT says a proper fit can greatly increase the driver's safety as well as the safety of others around the vehicle.
