Police Search For Man 'Performing Lewd Acts In The Park'

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - A man was seen exposing himself near a park crowded with children in Douglas County. Now police want to find him before his crimes get even worse.

The incident occurred at Salisbury Equestrian Park in Parker Monday and a witness confronted the man. Police say the man was about 400 yards away from the sports fields where children were practicing football and baseball, but close enough to cause concern.

"He was wearing only a black shirt and a black baseball cap. He had no pants on and no shoes," Officer Dawn Cashman with the Parker Police Department said. "We had a witness that caught a male subject performing lewd acts in the park."

The pant-less suspect fled from the park in a grey or silver sedan. Police tried to track him down but couldn't find him or his vehicle.

"It is concerning because he was out and obviously visible to people naked, and that is concerning to us," Cashman said.

Investigators are now searching for the man described as white with a dark tan, in his 50s with shoulder-length grey hair. He stands about 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 and weighs around 150 pounds.

Police hope to catch him before he exposes himself again.

"One of the things we see from people who do this type of behavior is that they don't do it just once, they typically do it over and over again until they are apprehended," Cashman said.

And if this suspect turns out to be a repeat offender it's possible he'll face felony charges for indecent exposure.
