"It was kind of madness," said Kate Secor, a Denver resident and Rockies fan. "It definitely created pockets of cluster. People actually got out of line."

After seeing those long lines, Secor told CBS4 she's pleased to hear that the the team is introducing a system that will allow for easier entry into the stadium.

The CLEAR system is being set up this week at Coors Field's Gate C. It's a system that's already in place at Denver International Airport, and allows members to pass through the security area just by having their fingerprint read by a device.

Secor is already a user of the CLEAR system at the airport and the company already has her fingerprint on file. She had to pay $85 for 5 years of use at DIA and other airports.

For the CLEAR system at Coors Field, fans can sign up for free and enrollment is supposed to take only two minutes. They are also offered a discount on the system at the airport.

"I think it would work. It might make me come down to games more coming from the suburbs if it was easier to get in and out," said Rockies fan Matt Trontell.

CLEAR describes its product as a "secure biometric identity platform" and says being a member gives a "frictionless entrance option." Secor says she expects some fans may think it's instrusive.

"I can see some people being adverse, but at the end of the day, no one likes lines," she said.

Gate C will be the only place where the CLEAR system will be in place through the end of the season.

The Rockies face the Seattle Mariners at home on Monday evening.

The San Francisco Giants are the only other major league ballclub that has set up a CLEAR system.
