Restrictions Put In Place St. Vrain, Clear Creek Waterways
LYONS, Colo. (CBS4) - Officials in Jefferson and Boulder counties are restricting activities on several waterways to keep people safe.
A tubing ban was put into effect in place for the north and south St. Vrain creeks and the St. Vrain River, which runs through Lyons and Longmont.
Tubes, rafts and swimming are also prohibited in Clear Creek in Clear Creek Canyon and through Golden.
Officials say the water is running too high and fast after the recent rainstorms for those activities.
There are currently no tubing restrictions in Boulder Creek.
