Officer Rescues Dog From Drainage Culvert

NEDERLAND, Colo. (CBS4) - A Nederland police officer rescue a dog trapped in a drainage culvert over the weekend.

On Saturday, Officer Jake Smith saw a woman looking for her dog in a swollen creek. Smith ran to the drainage culvert to look for the dog.

Footage from his body camera shows what happened next.

Once Smith found the dog, he pulled the animal out of the water and prevented it from being swept under the road.
