DENVER (CBS4)– The U.S. Secretary of Education visited an elementary school in Denver after it showed significant improvement.

Duncan praised Hickenlooper and DPS Tom Boasberg for the success story.
“Turning around under-performing schools is probably the hardest, most controversial, but most important work that we as a nation are doing,” said Duncan. “No one is doing this perfectly. Duncan also said he will share some of the ideas being implemented at McGlone with schools nationwide in hopes they will have similar success.
