Armed Police Swarm Home, Arrest 6 People In Raid

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver swarmed a home on Thursday and took six people inside into custody. They were arrested for a variety of offenses but police didn't clarify what led them to that home.

More than a dozen police cars surrounded the downstairs apartment at 4509 N. Stuart Street in a coordinated raid Thursday afternoon.

"We saw a couple of cars pull up, cops waiting behind them and they jumped out, ready to go," said one neighbor. "They all just jumped out, surrounded he house and that was it."

Officers began negotiations with weapons drawn and bullhorns in hand, to coax the occupants outside.

Armed officers surrounded the home and stayed trained on it until everyone was in custody, six in total.

"One guy came out fairly quickly, another one after that, three more 15 mintues later," said one neighbor.

Two were arrested on outstanding warrants, one for an unknown felony warrants and the other for failure to register as a sex offender. The other two suspects were taken into custody but police did not confirm their offenses.

Neighbors told CBS4 the apartment has a revolving door of young adults living there.
