Head Of Colorado Oil, Gas Industry Group Stepping Down

DENVER (AP) - The head of the Colorado's most visible oil and gas industry group is stepping down after more than five years on the job amid the state's tumultuous drilling boom.

Tisha Schuller said Monday she'll remain CEO of the Colorado Oil and Gas Association until May and oversee the group's Rocky Mountain Energy Summit in August.

Schuller says she has no plans yet for what she will do next.

She says she intended to spend about 2½ years with the Oil and Gas Association but stayed longer because of the tensions that emerged amid boom.

Relations between the industry and some local governments and residents sometimes became contentious as rigs set up near growing subdivisions.

The association said it would begin a search for her replacement.
