Child Hit By Vehicle In Bonnie Brae Neighborhood Dies From Injuries

DENVER (CBS4) - A 3-year-old boy has died from injuries he sustained after being hit by a vehicle Friday evening.

Police said the child was walking with his mother and older sister across the street at Ohio Avenue and University Boulevard just before 5 p.m. They had the right of way in the crosswalk before the boy was struck by a vehicle that was making a turn.

The boy died Saturday night at the hospital.

Police said they are still investigating what happened leading up to the crash. The driver involved has been cooperating with police and did not leave the scene.

The boy's name hasn't been released.
