DPS Students Study MLK At Symposium
DENVER (CBS4) - More than 400 students attended a symposium on Friday that helps them understand better Martin Luther King's legacy.
Students from nine DPS high schools participated in the civics discussion that guided students through King's work as a civil rights leader.
"Our hope is that we create a basis for better intercultural dialog by using the arts because we can give someone's story firsthand and produce more of a soul-to-soul kind of connection," symposium facilitator Ayinde Russell said.
