Broncos Most Hated In Kansas And Missouri, Survey Claims

DENVER (CBS4) - We're not in Kansas anymore, Broncos fans.

Good thing, too.

According to a massive undertaking by Reddit user KMHokies35, the Denver Broncos are the most hated team among Kansas and Missouri residents.

KMHokies35 surveyed 31,041 residents across the country for what team they dislike most.

A quick glance at the results, which were released on Sunday, illustrates a couple points: Teams are villainized for either their geographical proximity or their success on the field.

Or as Reggie Jackson said: "Fans don't boo nobodies." Wrong sport, we know, but right sentiment.

A few other stray observations:

- The Dallas Cowboys are the most hated team in … Texas? How could they possibly claim they're America's Team if they're the least loved in their own state?

- Coloradans hate the New England Patriots the most. So do residents of Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana and Tennessee -- making the Patriots hated by more states than any other team. Some things in life are a mystery. This isn't.

- Florida might attract a lot of retirees from New York. But apparently very few are fans of the Jets, who are the most hated team in the Sunshine State.

- Is it possible the Simpsons' Springfield is really in Missouri?
