Man Accused Of Killing Girlfriend's Kitten Faces Animal Abuse Charge
DENVER (CBS4) – A man accused of killing his girlfriend's kitten during a domestic violence incident has been formally charged.
According to Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office, Andres Sanchez-Luevano, 23, was "arguing with his girlfriend when he picked up her 1-month-old kitten and threw it to the floor" on Nov. 17.
The kitten died.
Sanchez-Luevano has been charged with one count of aggravated cruelty to animals. He was released on a $5,000 bond and was due in court to hear the charge Tuesday morning.
