FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) – Rashard Higgins hauled in a career-high four touchdowns, including a 73-yarder, to lead Colorado State to a 42-17 win over Tulsa on Saturday.

Higgins finished with six catches for 178 yards, another career high, while Dee Hart ran for 143 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns, including a 14-yard scoring run on the opening possession to give the Rams (4-1, 0-1 Mountain West Conference) a lead that was never threatened. It’s the first time since 1994 the Rams have finished non-conference play undefeated.

Garrett Grayson was 12 of 18 for 236 yards passing with three touchdowns, all to Higgins, and an interception. Nick Stevens also threw a TD to Higgins.

Dane Evans led Tulsa (1-3, 1-0 American Athletic Conference) with 222 yards passing and punched in a TD from the 1 to put the Golden Hurricane on the board in the second quarter.
