2 Arrested In Ammo Heist Suspected In Other String Of Crimes

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police say they believe a couple who operated a Colorado crime ring also are behind the theft of approximately $100,000 worth of ammunition earlier this year in Arvada.

The alleged crimes that Noah Graf, 35, and Jodie Howard, 29, committed span six counties, and three of the crimes happened in the past year.

Graf and Howard were arrested on charges of stealing a trailer filled with the ammunition from OD Green Supply in February. The store's owner received an anonymous tip last month which led police to the suspects.

When Arvada police identified their suspects, Graf and Howard were already behind bars in Denver. They were facing felony drug charges, plus theft and weapons charges from last November.

Before Arvada police could make their own arrest for the alleged ammo theft, Graf and Howard were taken into custody by another jurisdiction -- located in Huerfano County.

Records show the pair were arrested on numerous charges, including more drug possession charges, vehicle theft, trespassing and obstructing a peace officer.

Graf and Howard are awaiting court proceedings in Huerfano County. They will remain in the jail there before they are moved to Arvada.

The products they stole are still missing.

Anyone with information or tips in the case is asked to call police.
