68 Dogs Rescued In Texas Up For Adoption In Colorado
DENVER (CBS4) - Dozens of dogs found new homes in Colorado.
Sixty-eight dogs in all made the trip to Colorado from Texas where they were all saved from kill shelters.
A rescue organization in San Antonio called Tracy's Dogs was responsible for rescuing the dogs. They've already adopted out 50 of the puppies in advance. The remaining 18 dogs that still need a home went up for adoption on Saturday at the PetSmart on Alameda and Colorado boulevard.
"We just thought that this was a great way for our family to give back and the need that these puppies have is tremendous," said Amy Evans, who adopted a puppy. "We're just glad we can fulfill it and be here."
The open adoption event ran from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
