Boys And Girls Clubs Honors John Elway
DENVER (CBS4) - John Elway has spent a lifetime receiving awards for football accomplishments, but Saturday night he was honored for his work away from the gridiron.
The Boys and Girls Clubs honored the Broncos executive and Hall of Famer with the Champion of Youth Award. Elway is a longtime supporter of the organization and says he's honored to be part of it.
"It's a great honor … I'm humbled by it but also realize the great work that the Boys and Girls Clubs (do), not only in Denver, but the state of Colorado."
The Boys and Girls Club says Elway has helped raise more than $2 million through the Jack Vickers golf tournament.
