Wildfire Started By 2 Children In Superior

SUPERIOR, Colo. (CBS4)- Investigators believe a wildfire in Superior was started by two children.

The fire started about 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Open Space at the intersection of Castle Peak Avenue and Rock Creek Circle.

The fire burned about 25 square feet. Firefighters contained the flames before they spread to any homes.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office said the children were playing with matches.

Deputies are reminding parents to make sure their children do not get into any trouble during spring break and as wildfire season gets underway.
