Neighbors Suspected Husband, Wife Were Running Place Of Prostitution

DENVER (CBS4) - A couple accused of running a prostitution business out of a massage parlor appeared in court on Thursday.

Police say the husband and wife team, Diane and Josh Billingslea, had a business along Hampden Avenue in Denver. The couple is facing charges together for their involvement in an alleged prostitution business out of an office park.

Tenants in the office park told CBS4 they knew something odd was happening inside the suite known as "Touch of Denver" because the clientele was all male.

"I'd see the girls out here texting all the time, running around with really skimpy clothes on," building tenant Summer Hagge said. "I'd talk to them and they'd be like, 'Oh yeah, we're massage therapists.' "

The arrest affidavit says advertisements on Backpage.com is where the clients would contact either Josh or Diana Billingslea, who then informed the women about the appointments made.

One woman told police she would work from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, making $1,000 a day, and gave the couple half of that money.

"It's pretty gross ... a lot of times they would meet them in this hallway in the bathroom, so I was just trying to stay away from it," Hagge said.

The couple will be back in court in April for a preliminary hearing.
