Gov. Hickenlooper Orders Flags Lowered For Claire Davis
DENVER (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper is ordering state flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of a suburban Denver high school student who was shot to death by a classmate.
Flags on all public buildings will be lowered on Wednesday, the same day the National Western Stock Show and Complex will host a public memorial for 17-year-old Claire Davis.
Davis died Dec. 21. Authorities say she was shot Dec. 13 at Arapahoe High School by a classmate who then committed suicide.
