BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – University of Colorado police in Boulder are investigating a reported kidnapping on campus Monday night.

A student reported the possible crime near the Benson Earth Sciences Building at about 9:15 p.m.

The student said he saw a white man in a dark colored hoodie get out of a car and point what he thought was a handgun at a black man wearing a blue shirt, jeans and possibly a backpack. Both men got into the car which then sped east on Colorado Avenue past Folsom Street.

CU Police continue to investigate this incident and sent an email alert to students, faculty and staff shortly after 11 p.m., asking for assistance. CU Police ask anyone who witnessed or has information on this incident to call CU Police Dispatch at 303-492-6666.
