State Patrol Says Crackdown Netted 1,300 Drivers
DENVER (AP) - The Colorado State Patrol and law enforcement agencies throughout the state say they arrested more than 1,300 impaired drivers during a Labor Day campaign to cut down on accidents.
The state patrol said Tuesday the crackdown between Aug. 16 and Sept. 3 included saturation patrols throughout the state.
The crackdown is one of 12 impaired-driving initiatives that are targeting national holidays and large public events.
