State Warns About Phone Scam That Seems To Be Growing

DENVER (CBS4) - State officials have issued a warning about a phone scam they're seeing more and more of.

The Judicial Department says its received reports of phone scams involving fake debt-collection agencies who are threatening people with arrest warrants.

The department wants to remind Coloradans that those who receive calls about debt can always verify the call through the courts or law enforcement.

Never give any financial or personal information over the phone.
