District Judges Appointed For 7 Colorado Counties

DENVER (AP) - Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia has appointed district court judges for two judicial districts serving seven Colorado counties.

Garcia on Tuesday appointed John Neiley in the 9th Judicial District, serving Garfield, Pitkin and Rio Blanco counties.

Neiley is a partner at Neiley & Alder, practicing civil litigation. He has served as staff attorney for the Federal Trade Commission's Denver Regional Office.

Wayne Patton was appointed to the 5th Judicial District, serving Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake and Summit counties.

Patton is the Lake County Court judge and county court magistrate for Eagle County. He served as Summit County Court magistrate, Leadville city attorney and special county attorney for Lake County.

The appointments are effective July 1.
