DENVER (CBS4)– A child was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after a collision between two vehicles during the morning commute on Thursday.

The crash between a mustang and a van happened about 7:45 a.m. in the Stapleton neighborhood at Havana and Martin Luther King Blvd.

Police in Denver closed the intersection for about two hours while they investigated which driver was at fault.

The six-year-old child suffered serious injuries.
