Man Accused Of Shooting At Officers Formally Charged
DENVER (CBS4) - A man accused of shooting at police officers during traffic stops has been formally charged in Denver.
Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office said Larry Lynn Gomez, 33, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault.
Gomez is accused shooting at a Denver police officer on Nov. 6 and a Westminster officer a week later.
Gomez was arrested on Nov. 9 following a vehicle and foot pursuit. Officers shot him as he fled on foot.
He remains in custody on a $200,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for next Monday to be formally advised of the charges.
