Bicyclist Brain Dead After Canon City Hit-And-Run
CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) — A coroner says the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Canon City has been declared brain dead.
Fremont County Coroner Dorothy Twellman said 49-year-old Kyle Keefe was being kept on life support Thursday so that his organs could be donated.
Police say Keefe, of Canon City, was struck by a pickup truck while he was riding a bicycle Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses say the vehicle was a dark, possibly smaller, pickup truck.
