Penny Flats Arson Trial Resumes Monday In Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - The trial of an accused arsonist will resume Monday in Fort Collins.
Benjamin Gilmore is facing arson and attempted murder charges. He's accused of intentionally setting a building on fire last fall. The fire spread to the Penny Flats condos.
Prosecutors claim Gilmore's involvement with the Occupy movement may have played a role in the fire.
Last week several witnesses described how they woke up to a raging fire in the adjacent building. Some said the intense heat melted their blinds and cracked the windows of their apartment units.
The trial is expected to last another two weeks.
