Purse Snatching Victim Hit On Head With Gun

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman who was the victim of a purse snatching was struck on the head with a gun during the robbery.

Police in Denver are searching for the suspect in the robbery. It happened at about 1 a.m. Sunday, April 15 while the woman was walking at 5th and Washington.

That's when the man appeared and demanded her handbag at gunpoint. The suspect then struck the woman on the head with his handgun.

As he ran away eastbound he fired one gunshot.

The suspect is described as a black man with a dark complexion, late 20s to early 30s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, thin mustache, wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt and a black and white checked flannel shirt underneath.
