Mitt Romney To Visit Colorado On Wednesday

DENVER (CBS4/AP) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will be in Colorado on Wednesday.

Romney is holding at least one event in the metro Denver area. Campaign spokeswoman Sarah Pompei says at least one event will be open to the press, with details to be announced.

Romney will also talk about energy at the oil and gas company K.P. Kauffman in Fort Lupton.

Romney's campaign says it will the first of many visits to Colorado as the November election nears.

Romney last appeared in Colorado on Feb. 7, the night of the Republican presidential precinct caucuses. Romney won Colorado's caucuses in 2008, but this year he lost Colorado to former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who has since left the race.
