CDOT Says Lane Closures To Cause Delays On US 36

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Transportation announced survey work on US 36 will cause delays Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Mindy Crane with CDOT said the work will involve various single lane closures on eastbound and westbound US 36 between Federal Boulevard and Wadsworth Boulevard and Federal and 92nd Avenue.

Wednesday:

-- Westbound US 36 from just east of Church Ranch Boulevard to Wadsworth Boulevard: The right lane of westbound US 36 will be closed from 7 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

-- Eastbound US 36 from Wadsworth Boulevard east one mile: The right lane of eastbound US 36 will be closed from 7 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

Thursday:

-- Westbound US 36 between Federal Boulevard and 92nd Avenue: The right lane of westbound US 36 will be closed from 7 p.m. on Thursday until 5:30 a.m. on Friday.

CDOT reminds drivers to obey speed limits and construction signs.

The survey work is part of a project to build an express lane in each direction on US 36 from Federal Boulevard to 88th Street in Louisville/Superior.
