Denver Mayor Leads Blood Drive
DENVER (CBS4) - Bonfills Blood Center is urging people to give blood during Donate Life Month.
Mayor Michael Hancock joined Bonfills Blood Center at a blood drive Friday. The goal is to raise awareness about the need for blood, marrow, organ and tissue donation.
Every year thousands of people fighting disease wait in hopes for the right match.
One of those patients is Mark Jenkins. He has leukemia and is searching for a match so he can receive a bone marrow transplant.
