GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)– This month is a good time to visit one of those places that you don’t get to very often. Especially if you love art and want to support the local art scene.

The 21st annual state exhibition of the Colorado Watercolor Society is on display at the Foothills Arts Center in Golden this month. It runs through March 24.

Watch CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody’s report below as he explains why this is one of his favorite exhibits to visit each year.

Thank you for this excellent video and story about the CWS State exhibition. Sometimes watercolor does not get its due respect, but Greg’s story shows a deep appreciation for the medium. Thank you for show-casing this charming gallery and exhibit.

I highly recommend a visit to the Foothills Art Center. This is a good and interesting exhibition with some exceptional watercolors.
But it is overshadowed by the outstanding other exhibition of paintings by Hal Shelton which closes today. Don’t miss it!
