CDOT Once Again Calls Off I-70 Pace Car Program

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Transportation was once again forced to call off its pace car program on Sunday to help ease traffic on Interstate 70 because there was too much traffic.

CDOT says they're still not scrapping the program.

Speed harmonization began at 10:30 a.m. but was cancelled just before 1 p.m. CDOT says there was simply too much traffic for pacing to work.

CDOT says they'll try the program again over the next three Sundays to gather more data.
