Texas Skier Dies After Falling At Copper Mountain
FRISCO, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 51-year-old skier from Texas has died after falling and apparently hitting his head on a snow-covered stump at Copper Mountain Resort.
Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson says Donald Hinckley of Austin, Texas, was pronounced dead shortly before midnight Friday after he was taken to a hospital in the Denver area.
Richardson says Hinckley went into cardiac arrest after falling. She says he died from a traumatic brain injury and fractured neck.
Richardson says he was wearing a helmet.
