3+ Pounds Of Marijuana Found During I-70 Traffic Stop
EAGLE, Colo. (CBS4)- A deputy with the Eagle County Sheriff's Office found more than three pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.
The deputy pulled over a vehicle, driven by Danny Burchfield, at about 4:45 p.m. Jan. 6, traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 five miles east of the Town of Eagle.
The deputy's K9 officer noticed a very strong odor of marijuana. More than three pounds of marijuana was located behind the passenger seat in a large white trash bag.
Burchfield, 52, of Rullison was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and DUI.
