Armed Robber Hits Insurance Office In Loveland
LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - An armed robber in Loveland may have been targeting a cafe but he wound up demanding cash from an insurance office a few doors down.
The gunman robbed the Farmer's Insurance office late Monday afternoon. Workers say he was dressed in a ski mask, goggles, blue hooded jacket and gloves.
The suspect only ended up with about $10 since insurance isn't exactly a cash business.
"He came in, had a gun, basically, 'Give me your money.' She said, 'We don't have money at our office,' " Farmers Insurance District Manager Clint Sales said.
Sales says the suspect was lucky to escape because next door was a class full of martial arts students who, had they seen him, might have been ready to practice their skills.
