Vigil Held For Molly Midyette At Boulder County Courthouse

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Family and friends of Molly Bowers, formerly Molly Midyette, held a vigil in Boulder for the woman serving time in the death of her newborn baby.

The vigil was outside the Boulder County Courthouse. Bowers' parents and other supporters spoke about a judge's ruling last month denying her a new trial.

Bowers' lawyers claimed she was intimidated by her ex-husband and father-in-law and said that prevented her from getting a fair trial.

Bowers is serving a 16-year prison sentence for child abuse resulting in death. Her son Jason died in 2006.
