Children Create Holiday Gifts With Crafts At Boys & Girls Clubs

DENVER (CBS4)- Christmas is in the air at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. The final touches are being placed on several projects including a gingerbread house and other handmade crafts.

"We made ornaments for Christmas and cards for things you want to send to people," said one child.

"What I have here is a snowflake," said another.

The cards and decorations are made by children who plan to give them as gifts to loved ones.

"I'm going to give it to my mom," said one teen. "Because she's helped me so much throughout the year and I'm thankful for having her in my life."

The annual Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive is under way once again.

This holiday season CBS4 and King Soopers are teaming up to collect new toys and cash donations for children and youth served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. King Soopers will be collecting new toys at all Metro Area locations through December 23rd.
