Hazmat Crews Called To Federal Courthouse After White Powder Found
DENVER (CBS4)- Hazardous materials crews were called Sunday morning to the Byron White U.S. Courthouse in Denver after white powder was found on the property.
Firefighters in Denver also rushed to 19th and Champa at about 11:30 a.m. Homeland Security was among the law enforcement investigating the incident.
After investigating, firefighters determined it was a "benign" powder and not hazardous.
Police altered their investigation to criminal mischief in case the powder was purposely placed there to cause a reaction.
