Crow Valley Campground Closed Due To Vandalism

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Crow Valley Campground on the Pawnee National Grassland closed early for the season. Vandals caused extensive damage over the Columbus Day holiday weekend.

Destruction includes multiple destroyed signs and kiosks, a torn up water hydrant, debris strewn throughout the area, damage to toilets, historic farm equipment damage and a destroyed drinking fountain.

The campground will be closed for the rest of the season. It was originally scheduled to be open until Nov. 1.

The vandalism is being investigated and the U.S. Forest Service is seeking the public's help. Anyone with information about the damage is asked to contact Lenora Arevalos at 970-222-5241.
